The Taj Mahal in India is one of the most beautiful sights in the world. It is said that the Emperor Shah Jahan (1) was told by his wife to build a monument for their love. It was her last wish before she died. In 1632. the best architects in the country (2) were given the project. It (3) was decorated beautifully inside and outside. About twenty years later, the Taj Mahal (4) was finished. Today, it's a very popular sight. Last year, it (5) was visited by more than one million tourists.
People thought that the Titanic would never sink because of its special design. So, everyone was shocked when it hit an iceberg and sank on its first voyage in 1912. There were about 2200 passengers on the ship and only 706 of them (6) was saved before the ship disappeared into the ocean. In 1985 a large part of the ship (7) was found by Robert Ballard and a team of scientists.
