When it comes to being a good friend, you and your friend need to respect yourselves first. People often forget about themselves when they think about friendship. Sure, you need to support your friend and there are times when you shouldn’t let him/her do everything by himself / herself. They need to support you back. It doesn’t mean that we should care about ourselves only. You both need to work on your friendship. It cannot build itself. Do not think, I can do everything by myself,’ or ‘You, my friend, should deal with it yourself. ’ You should show support for each other. This is how friendship works
b) Read the paragraph again and answer the questions below.
1. What do you do to be a good friend? Respect yourselves and support each other.
2. What do people often forget? They often forget about themselves.
3. What shouldn’t you do to your friend? You shouldn’t let your friend do everything by himself or herself.
