Glasgow is the largest city of Scotland with almost one inhabitants. I TU fats . It lies only 50 miles from
Edinburgh, near the west coast of Scotland. When one of the biggest university was built here in 15th century it became one of the most important educational centres, Today many thousands of workers commute to the city because it dominates the whole region in industry.
It became a great port and industrial centre at the beginning of the 18th century. Today it is known for its shipbuilding, machinery and chemicals, textile and clothing, cotton and woolen carpets. It is also known for its book-producing and publishing firms. Besides Glasgow is full of interesting museums and galleries. Inhabitants of Glasgow are proud of their city.
10. Sum up the facts and explain why people are proud of Birmingham, Liverpool, Manchester, Stratford-upon-Avon and Glasgow. Use the scheme.
First of all I'd like to talk about Liverpool, one of the biggest cities in the UK.
Besides, Liverpool and Manchester are the biggest industrial cities in the center of England.
It is also a big port.
That's why people are proud of Liverpool. Another well-know town is Stratford upon Avon. It is a very interesting town and the birthplace of famous Shakespeare. Besides, there is a church where he is bured. People in the UK can also be proud of Manchester. It is one of the English most important cities, besides, it is famous all over the world as a manufacturing centre. Birmingham is the second-largest city in the UK. It is also industrial city and educational centre. Here we can find St. Paul’s Cathedral. And another famous city is Glasgow. It is industrial educational and culture centre. Glasgow is a place where famous poets are writers were born such as Walter Scott James Walt and others.

The UK consists of four parts England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. England, the center part, occupies the most of Scotland and to the west the third part of the country, Wales is situated. The fourth part is called Northern Ireland and is located on the second island.

Ukraine is situated in the southeastern part of Central Europe.
Its boundaries separate it from Russia, Belarus, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Moldova and Romania. The population of our country is about 47 million people. Ukraine is washed by the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov in the South. Mountains cover only 5% of the whole territory of Ukraine. The climate in Ukraine is moderate-continental in general, but subtropical in the Southern Crimea.
