A Food Guide for Tourists Visiting My Town
If you visit my town in Ukraine, you can try many delicious traditional dishes. Ukrainian cuisine is known for rich flavours and homemade food. Popular dishes include borshch with sour cream, varenyky with different fillings, and holubtsi. In my area, people especially enjoy deruny (potato pancakes) and salo, which has a unique taste. Tourists can eat traditional food in cosy restaurants that serve homemade - style meals. For quick food, shawarma and pirohy are very popular. For dessert, you should try Kyiv cake or syrnyky. You can also taste Ukrainian bread, drink uzvar, or try shashlyk, a grilled meat dish.
