My favourite subject is English. I like it because it is interesting and useful. We read texts, make up dialogues and play language games. I enjoy speaking English with my classmates. I also like learning new words and expressions. Our teacher explains everything clearly. English helps me understand films and songs. I want to speak English fluently in the future.

During our English lessons we read texts and translate sentences. We learn new words and write them in our vocabularies. We make up and role-play dialogues. We describe pictures and answer questions. We also play language games and sometimes prepare short projects or presentations.

Outside interests: reading English books, travelling around Ukraine, watching educational programmes.
This is Mrs Shevchenko, our English teacher. She has been working at our Ukrainian school for many years. She teaches English and prepares students for olympiads and competitions. She enjoys reading, travelling around Ukraine and learning new teaching methods. We respect her and like her lessons very much.
